Ministry Goals

To Evangelize: using every means so that middle school students come to know Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior and would endeavor to follow Him all the days of their lives.

To Equip: systematically teaching the Bible so that it helps shape their world view.

To Engage: provide opportunities and challenge students to get involved in service to bless others.

To Encourage: provide an environment for students to grow in Christian friendship.

HERD

Herd is the Wednesday evening gathering at The Orchard Douglas Campus from 7:00-9:00pm. Herd is a relational time where students can reconnect with peers outside of the school setting and the Sunday morning church environment. The great benefit of Herd is the commitment of our adult leadership team who are essential components of the ministry. Your student’s experience will be dramatically enhanced by a consistent commitment to Wednesday evenings.

BIC (Bible Instruction Course)

BIC – Bible Instruction Course is the Sunday morning gathering.  Our time together at BIC is centered on the teaching of the Bible and small group discussion. BIC is a fairly large group, so for most new students it is easy to locate a familiar face from school.  Meet us at the Douglas Campus (in the Thomas M.S. Commons) or at the Hersey Campus  (in the Teacher’s Lounge).  We begin at 10:30 am and our time lasts the duration of the main worship service (~1:15 hour).
